SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE - Course related luxury items - More research

A wee bit more research...

1)Which items have been essential to your course this year? (think big and small)

2)Have you priorities such items over other things? For instance, buying basic food items so you can afford sharpie pens!

3)Have you found cheaper versions of graphic design related items? e.g, printer cartridges - Morrisons own etc

Would REALLY appreciate feedback!

"1. adobe illustrator- i don't know what i'd do without it now 2. fortunately, not so much- if anything then at the beginning of the year i just had to prioritise with getting a job! 3. ryman do BOGOF on my favourite uniball pen packs quite often- i go in just about every other day! i buy when deals are on- and where discounts are offered!"

"1)the adobe software, i don't know how i would have survived without it, also those felt tip pens from the library, ive used tons of them. 2) i dont buy anything really if i need to save for college equipment - i avoid clothes and buying meals out like lunch (its a bit different for me as i don't have to buy food + stuff but i also have less money to go around) 3) i just get everything from the library as its good quality but much cheaper than you could buy it anywhere else, i don't like buying really cheap equipment as it usually doesn't end up being value for money (pens run out quicker etc.)"

1. Rucksack, notebooks, usb, plastic folders, software at home 2. I waited til April to buy an Apple Mac Book not cos of money but just cos I could manage without one (love it now tho') 3. Special offers on sharpies at Tesco (half price, don't but cheap double sided it is rubbish, notebooks from Wilkinsons x

As stated in the crit, I need to think about items people on a graphic design course buy, and save for. In order to give sense to my stop motion and it's reason why freshers would want to save on the items stated.
I have come up with a short list of branded luxury and some what essential items purchased on this course.

• Apple Mac
• Moleskin
• Fineliners
• Adobe software
• Illustrator
• Photoshop
• Stock
• Kodak Camera
• Books
• Printer
• Ink cartridges
• Unibol Pens

Some of these I intend to use within my stop motion.
