YCN - Final Boards

Finally I designed some professional looking boards. I've tried to include all the appropriate design work, as we had a lot to pick from. I've used the better photographs from the large selection taken of our packaging, including proposals alongside digital mock ups. The typeface and colour palette is that of M&S to communicate the brief we have been working on, to others.

YCN - Moving image - M&S TV

As pre-mentioned, we intended on producing a moving image piece which would be suitable to use on M&S TV and the small digital screens in store. We decided to use a panoramic shot of a typical picnic setting; this by a lake, to simple pan from one end to another revealing the M&S message 'Picnic your way', ' A summer you'll never forget'. Marty is more of a fan of after effects than myself, so was better suited to design the moving image.

YCN - Website Mock up

I decided to take initiative and start designing the website for the boards, as Marty was busy with the stop motion. I was able to be consistent with the M&S branding, alongside our own designs and slogans. Its fitted to the current M&S web page design.

YCN - Photographing our final outcomes

Marty was able to get a photography studio booked to photograph our final products, suitable for our boards. They needed to be suitable to digitally mock up some of our design elements onto. This is the quickest way to produce mock ups, rather than print and produce everything. For instance, the belly band around the plates; our designs and logo can be digitally placed.

YCN - Iconography - Representing Seasons

The icons created by Marty to represent the seasons within our packs.

YCN - Drink wrap around

A digital mock up of the drink bottle which would be held within our pack.

YCN - Information Booklet

We decided that an information pack within the picnic would be a nice idea, to give a little extra context. The information held could promote the pack as a whole, telling customers what other options there are in regard to food and seasons, also providing discount coupons for their next picnic purchase. Marty was best suited to create these as his layout skills are far stronger than mine, so here's his designs.
