Crit with Lorraine

Questions I wanted answering within the crit:

  1. Should I promote the make up line as being honest, straight to the point in product description? Or on the top?
  2. What could a possible brand name and slogan be for my line? Which connotes fakery and honesty within products.
  3. My packaging design - should it be simple, to the point or decorative?

Problem Analysis:

Strengths

In depth, concept behind the idea - helps define problem

Areas for improvement

Be more consise - but can be more defines - further refines

Design development:

Strengths

Initial stages apparent

Areas for improvement

More in depth sketches - Progression

Audience / context:

Strengths

Presuming - human aspect would get a reaction from the audience targeted

Areas for improvement

Unclear as to who the audience exactly are. Not defines

Product and proposal:

Strengths

Areas for improvement

Large range - could this be too much? Considered what you will produce
Further development - how can you push product into consistent range

1. Straight to the point of what its supposed to do - product intentions
2. Look into honesty quotes, history and make-up, contemporary views on makeup. You should have a lot of research something should stand at that encompasses your brand.
3. Need to see examples side by side

Action plan:

Honesty Quotes - Look at possible slogan for product line
History of make up

Define target audience - Be clear and consise

Start designing - Logo and Branding

Look at online presence
