A few more initial drawings, some finalised others need work on. I really like the way I've been able to manipulate my chosen typeface (edwardian script) into the carefully considered words within the alphabet. I'm unsure whether I'm going to stick to the black and white colour palette, or whether I should edit them digitally, changing colour, texture and / or line. Its certainly something to explore.

Initial thoughts

I began to make a list of possible things I could illustrate representing the alphabet. It was really quite difficult, as I had to think about how the thing representing the letter of the alphabet could be illustrated and manipulated into the typeface.

A few initial doodles, exploring a range of typefaces I could possibly use. Overall I have decided to use upper case as it would be more consistent in shape and design. I felt a curvaceous elegant, serif font would be easier to manipulate into my illustrative style, rather than a bold serif typeface.
