Oh yes, we joined the protest.

We scurried around this morning printing, sticking and glueing and putting together our designed protest boards, and flyers, with the intent to join the protest. At one point we did go for lunch, leaving the posters in the studio, to come back with sticky notes attached to them. Giving us some critical feedback, questioning what we had wrote...we still don't know who wrote it. But it's great to get feedback anyway!

The protest took place at about 12, so we marched along side our fellow students, giving out a few flyers, talking to a few protesters, asking them to deface our protest boards - yes deface them! Basically as a way of gaining opinion, we had printed on our boards images of some politicians, gave several people a pen and asked them to deface the sign in accordance to their opinion.

As part of the brief, we needed our designs to work within the public domain so we joined the protest, holding our signs up, catching the eye of local news crew and protesters, giving out our flyers. We made sure to take plenty of photos and Luke way there with the video camera to record the protest and our designs within the crowds.
