COMMUNICATION IS A VIRUS - What next?

Group Meeting

We decided to have a get together to see what to do next as we felt we weren't moving very far. We looked at some of our past idea's and felt they didn't really work, when actually thought about. For instance, the swap shop idea focused on our target audience, but not the idea of showing time. Also, would students even attend the swap shop? Whilst looking around town for charity shops we also found a lot of our idea's were already existing, and with the want to be original we felt we had hit a dead end.
An example of an idea already existing is an event within Tkmaxx, which was for red nose day, asking for artwork to be sent to an email address to be sold and to raise money. We also found an online student orientated swap shop.

A further idea was the thought of time, and how students could be giving instead of wasting it. We began comparing day to day activities within students lifestyles, an episode of Hollyoaks takes 25minutes, in this time you could have given blood. We created a few more examples, with the overall intention of making people aware of their time and what they could be doing instead.

We decided to speak to Amber to help us make a decision, and how we could be original in our approach. She thought focusing on people trying to do something new would be a good idea. Whether that be healthier in their approach to lifestyle. The thought of motivating somebody with graphic design to do so.

This is when we started asking people within our class what they would ideally like to be motivated to do. A problem we identifed is, would we have enough time to research, create and solve these problems, considering there is 45 students within our class.
