Type Factory - Website

Sarahs come up with some initial designs for the webpage and how it would work. The idea of voting, the navigation and how this would work. We think this is an important element to use within our boards.

I'm going to try and take her concept and push the designs further and more consistent with the design elements of our work.

Type Factory - Contact

So things have started moving on, our posters have grabbed the attention of a few individuals, a handful within class have told me they will submit something, Sarah has heard from several Vis Com students, and I've been contacted from someone within Art and Design Interdisclipinary, who also told me a few others within his course are interested. The emails :

Typosgraphe - Meeting & Event promotional material

So today we met up to try and get things back on track. After the crit I realised this brief had taken a step back and become smaller than it was originally was, so we decided we would try and design all the poster and leaflet material, along with the typographic timeline poster. We worked alongside so there was a level of consistency, I produced the poster while Sarah did the leaflet, the layouts of each are the same, along with the content. We used a similar baseline grid so we scaled content up correctly in accordance to product size.

The baseline:

The colour palette we will use to screen print, white ink on black stock:

Sarah designed the leaflet which we kept consistent with colour and content. The only difference will be when we come to screen print it will be black on white, and there will be a saturated cyan image of a small part of the timeline poster.

Accessorize packaging nets

I wasn't happy with how the mock ups looked so I decided to create nets, to apply my designs too. I want through the packaging nets books at uni to find some inspiration, of which I drew up and edited them to be appropriate after researching what products they sold, I was able to understand what packaging would be needed.

Below if a see through display box which could hold their socks and gloves products.

Below are several bag nets, to be given to customers to put bought products into, or be bought as gift bags as part of the gift packaging service Accessorize provides.

I have also created a net for a hanger as Accessorize provide some clothing items. Others are tags, special promotion cards and stickers.

To go with the gift wrapping service I have created a net for a box and lid.

The gift wrap itself.

Accessorize - Winter - Re-worked colour

Once I had mocked up the products I realised the colour palette really didn't work, my idea was to go with the typical red and green colour palette but my choice to make them soft and pastel like meant I was working with pink and green - it didn't communicate winter as well as I wanted. So I decided to pick 'cold' colours, in this case pastel green and blue.

Accessorize - Winter

I wanted to see how well the colour palette and patterns worked once applied to products so I mocked up 3d products, labels and other items to potentially be used for the boards.
