Type Factory - Website

So after me and Sarah met up we decided to swop roles, which involved me creating the website. I've designed it to be consistant with our other event promotional material using the same typefaces, colour palette and format.

When we first started thinking about the exhibition, we decided we wanted a publication which involved showcasing everyones work, using icons which represented each submission, the icon would relate to a shape within the work. I have used this idea within the website too, so the publication and website link closely together. The idea for the website was so people would be able to vote for their favourite submission of which the top ten would be announced at the event and be invited to speak about their work.

The website has been designed to be easy to use and navigate through. To see the submissions, you go onto the 'Submissions' tab page, hover over an icon to see a preview of the work and name of the artist. To seen / read more information about the submission, you click an icon and a pop up window will come up giving you a full colour image and bio.

To vote for your favourite submission you go onto the 'voting' tab page, hover the icon to see a preview of the work and artist name, click the icon in which a pop up window will come up to confirm you want to vote for this artist with a 'submit' button. Once this is clicked another box opens to show confirmation of your vote.

The about page gives the same description of the event which is found in the poster and leaflet. This is the same within the contact page and exhibition page. Giving contact details for the white cloth gallery, and its location, along with mine and Sarahs contact details.
